Korean marinated beef grilled over high heat with a sweet-savory soy-sesame sauce

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ribeye or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup Asian pear or kiwi, grated
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 cups, cooked steamed rice

Instructions

  1. 1.Marinate beef with soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and pear for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2.Heat a cast-iron grill pan or skillet over very high heat.
  3. 3.Grill beef in batches 2-3 minutes, leaving space between pieces.
  4. 4.Serve over rice with sesame seeds and green onions.
