Panna Cotta

Silky Italian cream dessert with vanilla and a fresh berry coulis

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2.5 teaspoons gelatin powder
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups / 2 tbsp mixed fresh berries and sugar

Instructions

  1. 1.Bloom gelatin in cold milk 5 minutes; heat cream with sugar until barely simmering.
  2. 2.Stir in gelatin mixture and vanilla until dissolved.
  3. 3.Pour into lightly oiled ramekins; refrigerate at least 4 hours.
  4. 4.Cook berries with sugar to a loose coulis; unmold panna cotta and serve with coulis.
