Authentic Philly cheesesteak with thinly sliced ribeye, onions, and Cheez Whiz or provolone

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly shaved
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 oz provolone or Cheez Whiz
  • 2 hoagie rolls
  • as needed salt, pepper, cooking oil

Instructions

  1. 1.Cook onions and peppers in oil on a griddle until caramelized.
  2. 2.Add shaved steak; season and cook until brown, chop and mix with vegetables.
  3. 3.Melt cheese over meat; scoop into hoagie rolls.
  4. 4.Serve immediately.
