Salmon Teriyaki

Pan-seared salmon glazed with homemade teriyaki sauce, served with steamed rice

Ingredients

  • 4 6oz each salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons sake or dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • to serve steamed rice and broccoli

Instructions

  1. 1.Simmer soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar until slightly thickened.
  2. 2.Score salmon skin; sear skin-side down in oil 4 minutes, flip, cook 3 minutes.
  3. 3.Pour teriyaki sauce over salmon; cook 1 minute, basting.
  4. 4.Serve with rice and steamed broccoli; garnish with sesame seeds.
